May's Cosmic Dance: Rebirth, Growth, and Connection

May is a BIG BIG month starting off with Pluto going retrograde, leading into a Scorpio Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, and Jupiter's final days in Aries before making his big move into his new home of Taurus. 🌟

The beginning of the month may feel intense, as Pluto starts retracing his steps in the sign of Aquarius and the eclipse brings up deep emotions, possibly even fear as doors are closing and things are coming to an end to make room for the new opportunities coming our way.  I have so much to say about this eclipse I will be writing another post to cover it all.  For now as the energy begins to grow, go with the flow, take a deep breath and repeat ... 'I trust the process, and I know new and better things are coming my way'. 🙏

By mid-month, the cosmic tides begin to turn and things start looking up with Mercury going direct on May 14th (Yay), clearing the way for improved communication and decision-making. 🌤️ Then a couple of days later, Jupiter will make his grand entrance into Taurus, heralding in a new cycle of growth and abundance in an area of your life for the next 12 months 😍

If you have been feeling like life is moving too fast, you will appreciate the slow down when we have the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter and Uranus all in the sign of Taurus beginning on May 17.  It will be an earth party for sure, so ground down, take a walk in the grass, soak up the joy of all mother nature has provided us 🌸💖

May 1st - Pluto Retrograde in Aquarius (♒00°22')
The month starts off with Pluto, the planet of transformation, turning retrograde in innovative and community-oriented Aquarius. You may find yourself reevaluating the groups of people and associations you belong to. Reflect back on what has changed in your life since Pluto moved into Aquarius on March 23, 2023. Use the next couple of months to review and make any necessary adjustments prior to his return to Aquarius in January 20, 2024. (Pluto will retrograde back into Capricorn on June 11 and then go direct on October 10, finishing out the year) 💫

May 5th - Full Moon in Scorpio (♏14°58') - Lunar Eclipse
This Full Moon is accompanied by a Lunar Eclipse, amplifying the intensity and emotional depth that Scorpio brings. Prepare for a rollercoaster of emotions, as secrets are revealed and hidden desires come to light. Remember, sometimes a little mystery is a good thing. Embrace the transformative power of the Scorpio Full Moon by shedding old habits and embracing new beginnings. 🌝🦂

May 7th - Venus Enters Cancer ♋
Venus, the planet of love and beauty, enters the nurturing sign of Cancer, bringing a soft and sentimental touch to our relationships. It's time to embrace the warm and fuzzy feelings and focus on self-care. Treat yourself to a relaxing spa day, or take a much-needed break to recharge your emotional batteries after the intensity of the eclipse. 💕🦀

May 9th - Sun Conjunct Uranus in Taurus ♉
When the Sun and Uranus come together, expect the unexpected!  This event happens just once a year.  You might find yourself craving new experiences, making it the perfect time to step out of your comfort zone 😃. Embrace the spontaneity and see where it leads you. After all, who doesn't love a little bit of unpredictability in life? (Don't answer that if you are a Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius 😆).

May 14th - Mercury Direct in Taurus (♉ 05°51')
Yay!!! As Mercury, the planet of communication, goes direct in Taurus, our minds finally become more focused.  If you've been struggling with a decision, the clarity you need is just around the corner. 🌈💡

May 16th - Jupiter Enters Taurus ♉
This is BIG!! Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion, enters earthy Taurus for the next 12 months, bringing with it a focus on stability, abundance, and growth. It is time to get focused on all the big ideas you came up with while Jupiter was in Aries.  Which ones will you stay the course and make them grow? This transit encourages us to take a slow and steady approach to our goals. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is your empire! 🌟🐂

May 19th - New Moon in Taurus (♉ 28°25') - Black Moon
This rare Black Moon in Taurus refers to the unusual occurrence of four New Moons in a single season (Spring 2023). The season started with an Aries New Moon on March 21, and then we had a second Aries New Moon on April 20, next up is the Taurus New Moon on May 19 and we end the season with the Gemini New Moon on June 18. Check your chart to see where this New Moon falls, then set your intentions and remember to be patient and persistent in your pursuit, just like a determined bull. 🌚🌱 (and don't worry, I will have a much longer post focusing on this new moon so you are ready and prepared to make the most of it)

May 20th - Mars Enters Leo ♌
The fiery planet of action and ambition moves into the bold sign of Leo, igniting a spark of renewed energy and creativity. After spending time in the nurturing waters of Cancer, Mars is ready to roar back to life in its fiery element. This transit inspires us to be more courageous, take on challenges, and explore our creative side. Embrace the passionate and dynamic energy of Mars in Leo to fuel your ambitions and make the most of this vibrant period. 🦁🔥

May 21st - Sun Enters Gemini ♊
As the Sun enters the lively and communicative sign of Gemini, our focus shifts towards socializing, learning, and embracing our inner curiosity. This is the perfect time to get out there and network, explore new interests, maybe plan a short trip.  Channel your inner Gemini by embracing versatility and adaptability in all aspects of life. After all, variety is the spice of life, and Gemini season is all about embracing the many flavors the universe has to offer 🍦
